A weekend designed to equip you with all the skills, knowledge and confidence you need to climb at you local climbing wall under your own steam. You'll cover everything including equipment choice, tying in, belaying, body movement and general safety principles, emerging an inspire confident indoor climber. A fantastic winter starter for beginners, allowing you to get the basics right before you attend our 'moving out' courses later in the year and a perfect opportunity for indoor climbing partners to learn the ropes together.

Hitting the Wall - £600.00 Per Family (2x Adults 2x Children)

This course is ideal for indoor climbers who has a desire to start climbing rock and cliffs, you will work at a high instructor – student ratio and will be instructed on all leading topics and abseil techniques. You will need to be a competent indoor climber to benefit from this course. It is a highly practical and hands on course from day one, so bring lots of energy, this course is an ideal stepping stone to further advancement into the great outdoors.

Touching Stone For First Time - £450.00pp

It is assumed that inividual participants are over the age of 18 years.

This module is an addition to the single pitch award syllabus and not all SPA holders have covered this topic during their training, however we are offering this module as an addition to your SPA portfolio. You will be taught how to safely escape the system of a belayer should your climbing partner become injured or unconscious or inverted whilst climbing and you need to summon help. You will work at a local crag to learn these techniques for the added reassurance that you have the knowledge should the worst happen, this course is open to all and not just SPA holders.

Escaping the System - £150.00pp

It is assumed that inividual participants are over the age of 18 years.

Multi Pitch climbing are defined as having several intermediate stances on one route, you will be introduced to several routes around the local area of Somerset and provide perfect multi pitch training routes. You will learn all technical aspects of climbing these routes and you must be a competent single pitch lead climber and belayer capable of holding falls, setting up stances. You will work in groups of two supervised by qualified instructors to navigate the multi pitch routes and to open up another door to the sport of climbing.

If you looking to develop your scrambling skills further this course is designed for you. Covering advanced skill required to negotiate the harder grade scrambles onto easier rock climbs you will gain all the experience in all the techniques required to help make a smooth transition from scrambler to rock climber.
